Meet George, the fearless inflation fighter

An inflation factor nobody talks about. What is it?  It is self-inflicted pain, injected by fear into society that inhibits economic growth and prosperity!

Countless gurus tell us how much prices have increased. Some elude to causes. But none talks about what we the people did to ourselves.

In economics, inflation is a general increase in the prices of goods and services in an economy. This is usually measured using the consumer price index. Wikipedia 

That sounds good but what is it?  I submit when my fuel pump purchases doubled in price or a carton of eggs jumps from 39 cents to 4 dollars a dozen.  Or not too long ago when you bought a hamburger at McDonalds you got change back on a dollar, while today your lucky to get change back on a twenty-dollar bill.  

That is inflation that I and most other average citizen can understand.  Beyond that economist, bankers, corporate management and many other so-called experts have inundated us with brilliance as to what it is. The one that gets my gander up the most is this one.  

We have a 34 Trillion national debt on our invisible credit card with which we will burden our grandchildren.  We must do something they say, but what?  This provides excellent talking points for aspiring Politicians, elect me and I fight for lowering your taxes. But through my 8 decades on this planet this same old rhetoric has lost its luster. Because no matter what, prices keep going up.

That is why I say inflation is caused primarily by the accepted invisible fear factor. That little four-letter word “fear” is the most manipulated word for controlling people.

Fear in its simplest form divides people into two groups.  Those that voluntarily fear Good their creator, while fear is instilled by evil forces to control mankind. Fear, in its original form was handed to mankind from Good through Moses as a reminder for mankind to only serve one GOD the almighty maker if heaven and earth.

Dt 6:13 Fear the Lord your GOD, serve him only, and take your oaths in his name. 

Dt 10:12 Reiterates. And now Israel what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD …

DT 31;12-13 Moses assembles his people periodically to remind them to learn and to teach to fear for the LORD.

Fear as such as it was directed by GOD himself through Moses was to love, respect, adore, trust rely only be directed towards GOD with all a person’s heart and soul. Fear of God is meant to be accepting, trusting, loving believing in him as a loving father. Not as an angry hateful being expressing negative connotation such alarm, fright, horror, terror and more.

So, what does God say about fear? The answer is pretty simple, do not be afraid for He is with us. May we rest in the words of Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Conversely evil forces have used fear since biblical time for the purpose of corrupting and extorting people.  Per definition from Oxford. Fear

1. an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

Fear instilled in small children becomes their Paideia. Example tell a little dodder and keep repeating it over and over to stay away from dogs because they bite, that child will be afraid of dogs for the rest of his or her life. Occasionally you run into an adult scarred stiff of dogs and you ask them why. Their answer will be I don’t know but rest assured it was instilled into that person as a small child. Dogs bite.

Conversely withholding the teachings of our Creator from a toddler about his greatness will have the same adverse effect on the toddlers later adult life.

My favorite illustration of this mythical trait of instilled fear is our collective fear of the IRS.  Admit, should you receive a letter or call from the Internal Revenue Service we shudder and fear the worst.  It does not matter whether you are a hamburger flipper or an elected senator.  The term IRS instills fear of the possible imagined submission of guilt.  This negative emotion of being guilty of something was instilled into the masses since the beginning of time.  Slaves versus masters. Aristocrats versus serfdom, white collar versus blue collar, rich versus poor, free versus controlled. 

So why this long dissertation on fear.  Because the element of fear is the very tool evil people employ to exert fear into the masses since it is ingrained into mankind since biblical times. Joyful fear to serve God and negative fear of authority.  Negative fear can be injected into many entities. Fear of height, fear of dogs, fear of governmental agencies and on and on.

Evil forces recognized the power of fear and injected fear into statism in corporations and government agencies.

In my opinion one of the greatest fear conquest ever achieved by men is the creation and Declaration for Independence in 1776.  Honest and industries men had established themselves in North America and flourished.  Overtime British Aristocrats exerted their perceived entitlement for increased taxation and control of the government over the colonist and run into resistance that prompted the writing of Bill of Rights. Sponsors of the bill pledged their lives, reputation and fortune and fought a war to make it happen.  These fellows had the vision that only God could grant freedom to the individuals. 

Why did God inspire the Declaration of Independence to be written in North America and not in another country such as the Congo, Peru or Venezuela or others? God choose America?  Granting freedom in a self-governing form of government to the individual produced unprecedented material success in all walks of life.  

Success is achieved through wisdom applied with righteousness received from God.  By losing sight of successes origin breeds sins. Such as opulence, nepotism, bias, apathy, and laziness. 

As such our elected officials that represent the citizen and do the work for the people over time found themselves in position to delegate their work by creating agencies that will do the work for them.  Let’s pick on two FRB and IRS.  The Federal Reserve Board was created to watch over the moneys supply.  The IRS Internal Revenue Service was created to collect taxes.  Both seem like noble causes.  Both agencies over time made themselves indispensable inasmuch that our elected officials simply no longer understand the complexity of the monster they created, while at the same time it made for excellent election rhetoric. Elect me and I’ll go to Washington and fight to keep your taxes down.  Meanwhile those departments expanded, with more regulation, more people and more and higher cost.  

I dare the reader to click on the following link and attempt to count all the department and agencies that you the ordinary taxpayer have to support.  But wait. Realize that you are not directly paying them you are paying for it with your invisible credit card, you are burdened with it through national debt. 

And that my friends is statism.  That helpless feeling that gnawing pain that it happens and you can’t do anything about it, and shrug it off. All these departments with all their employee’s payroll and benefit packages add to the cost and what do you get for your money.  Higher prices for everything you buy, with various form of taxes, dues, permit fees, tolls, levies and on and on, and when that is not enough our elected official gave authority to agencies for deficit spending added to the national credit card.

What is the meaning of the word statism?

In development studies, statism means the direction and control of economic and social affairs by the state. The practices included: investment in public enterprises; centralized economic planning; the regulation of employment; and other price‐distorting interventions in the markets 

If statism is perpetuated by its very existence than the ageless assumption that Perpetual Motion is not possible deserves closer scrutiny.

I take the liberty and add my definition.  First in the governmental world, followed by corporate world. 

The similarities are astounding.

Both are contrary to individualism.

What is a simple definition of a corporation?

A corporation is a legal entity that is separate and distinct from its owners. Under the law, corporations possess many of the same rights and responsibilities as individuals. They can enter contracts, loan and borrow money, sue and be sued, hire employees, own assets, and pay taxes. But neither a corporation or any government agency has a conscience.  

Our creator reserved that for the individual.

Government agency. In the U.S. government, there are four general types: cabinet departments, independent executive agencies, regulatory agencies, and government corporations.  

Now that we came a full circle what does statism have to do with inflated prices?  Everything.  Let’s pick on one item used in the construction of a home a stud or a 2” x4” x 8’-0” board.  What affects the price of that board in its travel from a west coast forest to let’s say to an east coast construction site.  Let’s further break its price down to direct cost and statism induced cost.

I vividly remember how the price of lumber was affected by a blown out of proportion environmentalism that became known as tree-huggers. Between 1989 and 1995, timber harvests on federal land fell by roughly 90%, according to the Oregon Forest Research Institute, which pinned most of the blame for the decline on the spotted owl, litigation over timber sales and other endangered species.  Depending on whom you ask, lumber prices have increased anywhere from 70 to 90 percent since October, to the highest levels ever.  Fear perpetuated based on tree huggers lamentation caused the shutdown of the US timber industry an in order to survive lumber had to be bought in Canada naturally at a much higher price

Bureaucrats that owe their existence to statism, love panic and fear induced opportunities to expand their sphere of influence.  Creating new regulation that add cost to product or a service are impossible to repeal. 

Thus far our little friend the 2 x 4 is still on the west coast.  I challenge the reader to flush out all bureaucratic red tape associated with transporting our little fellow across the country.  Carbon Emission rules. The green new deal.   If our friend the 2 x 4 is indeed used in the construction of a home I am not sure a can identify all government agencies that want a slice of the action on the 2 x 4 as well as on all the other components of the home, not by contributing value but by regulating the builder from harming the public.  Zoning and building permits.  Osha safety regulation, etc.  Remember every one of these new regulations add to the cost of the component.  

Occasionally a doozy of an opportunity presents itself causing regulators to literally lick their chops.  Case in Point is 911.  It created the Homeland Security Agency.  Instead of using sever measure to deal with radical Islamite’s. HS agents take great pleasure in watching people being fleeced going through Airport security, but enjoy job security and an assured pension.  Fast forward in time that same agency allows millions of illegals come into the country, but have no scruples of appearing in front of congress wanting more funds to hire more bureaucrats to shuffle more papers.

The Covid-19 pandemic was another cash cow milked by governmental and corporate bureaucrats to the last drop.

What do I think is the solution to make George free again?   

George got to muster the strength to recognize that he along with his contemporaries let all this happen and can reverse it while they still have the power.

Did George vote, or did he say like so many others say my vote don’t count anyway.

Did George bother to check out the candidates before he entered the voting booth or did he have no glue about any of the people on the ballot.

Did George ever attend a school board meeting our city council meeting to get the feel of how political bodies operate.

If all the answers are no than how can George ever benefit from his unalienable rights given to him?

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”  

George and so many of us, are known as the silent majority, we have slipped into complacency under the pretense that our vote does not count, and worst of all we do not want to get involved. But if we enjoy the fruits of this great nation, we are involved. Furthermore, if we call ourselves righteous and claim to believe in God and accepted his Son Jesus Christ as our Savior who communicates with us through the Holy Spirit, it is our duty per Jesus’ instruction in John 15:5, to be involved. 

Therefore, we pray, Lord 

That you would reaffirm our faith in the Holy Trinity. 

That You would guide us according to Your will to get involved in our school, local, county and state election procedures to ensure that they are honestly and fairly administered. 

That You would give us knowledge to recognize inflammatory rhetoric from either side of the political spectrum and guides us to seek the truth. 

That You would give us the strength to stand up for what is right and true instead of going with the flow of today’s politically distorted rhetoric. 

That You would help us elect leaders who will uphold our inalienable rights and steer our country away from evil, corruption, and controlling factions. 

That You would give us elected officials who are convicted to restore the country’s faith in God, so that we can be the beacon of light, hope and prosperity for other nations to follow suit. 

That after the election, you would lead us to forgive those that have trespassed against us. 

That we may serve as examples and encourage our families, friends and neighbors to join in to help keep the next election clean.
